Protecting God's Children

Archdiocesan Safe Environment Program and Protecting God's Children

Any adult who wants to volunteer in parish activities or ministries that include children or vulnerable adults must be in full compliance with the Safe Environment Program of the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Compliance requires attendance at a Protecting God’s Children workshop, a signed Code of Ethical Conduct and submitting to a background check, which will be updated in even numbered years.

Anyone working or volunteering with or around children or vulnerable adults in conduction with St. Bridget of Kildare needs to complete the following:

  1. Attend a Protecting God's Children workshop. Click here to see the schedule.  If you attend a workshop at any location other than at St. Bridget of Kildare, you need to give the completed forms and copy of your SS Card to Child Safety Coordinator or Connie Pross or Rachel Kelly in the parish office. Contact the parish office for help or more information at 636-271-3993 ext 201

  2. Submit a Worker Registration form to the parish office.  Click here for a printable version.

  3. You must read the Code of Ethical Conduct (click here for the Code of Ethical Conduct)

Victims of sexual abuse, in addition to contacting civil authorities, are asked to come forward in order to receive pastoral assistance.  Reports of abuse may be made to any Pastor or to:

Missouri Department of Social Services Children's Division Child Abuse & Neglect Hotline Number: 1-800-392-3738 or Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services Adult Abuse & Neglect Hotline: 1-800-392-0210.
