Protecting God's Children

Archdiocesan Safe Environment Program and Protecting God's Children

Any adult who wants to volunteer in parish activities or ministries that include children or vulnerable adults must be in full compliance with the Safe Environment Program of the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Compliance requires attendance at a Protecting God’s Children workshop, a signed Code of Ethical Conduct and submitting to a background check, which will be updated in even numbered years. Direct any questions to the Child Safety Coordinator at or to the parish office at 636-271-3993, ext. 201.

Anyone working or volunteering with or around children or vulnerable adults in conduction with St. Bridget of Kildare needs to complete the following:

  1. Attend a Protecting God's Children workshop. If you attend a workshop at any location other than at St. Bridget of Kildare, you need to give the completed forms and copy of your SS Card to Child Safety Coordinator or Pam Manuel in the parish office. Contact the parish office for help or more information.

  2. Submit a form for a background check along with a copy of your social security card to the the parish office. If you do not have a copy, please obtain one from the social security office.

  3. You must read the Code of Ethical Conduct (click here for the full code) and then sign the last page (click here for the signature page) and return it to the parish office.
